CALL FOR ABSTRACT

DEADLINE FOR SUBMISSION OF ABSTRACTS : October 31, 2002

This is to announce that applications will be accepted for general presentations (in the form of poster presentations). Persons desired to submit a presentation are requested to apply online from this page by Thursday, October 31, 2002.

In the case application cannot be made from this page, please send the abstract text (contained within borders of 210 mm vertical x 160 mm horizontal) along with personal information regarding the matters indicated below in the form of an e-mail attachment (MS Word 95/6.0 or later) to the secretariat at ikeda@world-meeting.co.jp.

Presentation Regulations

  1. Presenters are to register in advance simultaneous to submitting their presentation.
  2. Presenters will only be charged half the normal registration fee.
  3. Presentations are limited to unpublished contents for which conclusions have been reached that are worthy of presentation.

Written Format Regulations

  1. The abstract text is to be prepared with one of the following templates, and after naming and saving the file (full name in English), the saved file is to be selected with "Send File" and sent with this submission form.

  2. Leave a space for the title number measuring 10 mm vertical x 17 mm horizontal in the upper left corner.
  3. Enter the presentation title, presenter's name, names of co-authors, affiliation, city name and text in this order.
    a) Enter the presentation title in capital letters to the right of the title number space. Underline the presenter's name. Enter the affiliated city name and country name for the presenter only. Enter the presenter's name and names of co-authors in the order of their first name, middle initial and then family name.
    b) Enter the affiliation in the next line following the author's name without leaving a space between lines. In the case of multiple affiliations of joint presenters, distinguish those affiliations by assigning numbers. Leave a one line space between the affiliations and the text.
    c) Prepare the text within the prescribed margins (210 mm vertical x 160 mm horizontal) using single spacing, no top margin, no spaces between lines and justified on the right and left sides.

Once all required information and text has been entered, click on the SUBMIT button. You will be contacted by e-mail within 24 hours to confirm receipt (excluding Saturdays, Sundays and holidays). If you do not receive a notice of confirmation, this means that your application may not have been received properly. If this happens, please contact the secretariat.

NOTIFICATION OF SELECTION

Persons who have submitted abstracts will be informed of the results of selection by the middle of November along with a list of presentation guidelines and regulations.

4TH US CONTRAST Outstanding Poster Award

A small number of outstanding posters will be selected to receive the 4TH US CONTRAST Outstanding Poster Award. In recognition of their efforts, award recipients will be exempt from paying a portion of the participation and registration fee. Recipients of the Outstanding Poster Award will be announced at the closing ceremony, after which an amount equal to the amount of the registration fee exemption will be refunded to the award recipients.
